Live Steps From GCU Amenities
Grand Canyon University offers suite-style residence halls and college apartments for new and returning students. When you live in GCU’s student housing, you have access to heated pools, numerous on-campus restaurants and convenient proximity to amenities like Global Credit Union Arena, the 18-hole GCU Golf Course and the Canyon Activities Complex.
GCU’s average 2025-26 food and housing cost is less expensive than the average public and private universities costs, according to College Board.3

Residence Halls
As of February 2026, GCU has 3,250 apartment suites and 1,557 residence hall suites on campus. Our fully furnished residence halls give you the comforts of home with the added convenience of being steps from classes, dining and campus activities. Most residence halls feature suite-style living, with multiple bedrooms connected by a shared living space, and many include an in-unit bathroom shared within the suite. Residence halls are typically co-ed by floor, creating a traditional college living experience while still offering structure and community.
Each residence hall offers floor plans with either double occupancy (two students per room), triple occupancy (three students per room) or single occupancy (one student per room), along with features designed to support student life. You’ll have access to a laundry facility on each floor, breakout rooms and study spaces for focused work and spacious common living areas that make it easy to relax or connect with suitemates. Are Resident Assistants (RAs) Available?
GCU's RAs reside within each living area and are available to provide guidance, support and community engagement opportunities. Our RAs help foster a positive living environment and serve as a resource for you throughout the academic year.
On-Campus Apartment Living
Enjoy more independence and your own space with one of GCU’s on-campus apartment living options. Designed for your comfort and convenience, each furnished apartment includes a Twin XL bed and desk, along with a fully equipped kitchen to make everyday living easier.
With multiple floor plans available, you can choose an option that best fits your needs and lifestyle. Apartment communities also feature outdoor recreation areas for student activities, giving you space to relax, connect and enjoy campus life outside your front door.
